Terms of Service

1. Definitions

• "User" means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
• "Source" means a video or audio file you upload or import by link.
• "Clip" means a short-form output the Service generates from a Source.
• "Credit" is the unit of usage: one minute of Source runtime equals one credit.
• "Workspace" is where your projects and credits belong.

2. Changes to these Terms

The Company may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law. Amendments are announced at least 7 days before they take effect, and at least 30 days in advance where the change is unfavourable to Users.

If you do not accept an amendment you may terminate your account before the effective date. Continuing to use the Service after the notice period is treated as acceptance.

3. Accounts

Accounts are created only through Google sign-in. The Company does not store a separate password.

You may not let a third party use your account, and must notify the Company immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

The Service is not available to persons under 14 years of age.

4. The Service

The Company provides the following:

• Uploading long-form video and importing by external link
• AI segment detection and automatic short-form clip generation
• Automatic reframing and caption generation
• Clip editing on paid plans
• Automatic captions & translation
• AI dubbing and creation or deletion of your own voice profile
• Vocal remover
• AI voice enhancer
• AI speech polish
• 4-stem separation
• Download of finished clip files

Automatic publishing to external channels (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and similar) is not currently provided. You must upload downloaded files to those channels yourself. If the Company adds this capability it will be announced in advance under Section 2.

AI output is the product of automated analysis. The Company does not warrant any particular quality, accuracy, or commercial result.

5. Credits

Clip generation, Automatic captions & translation, AI dubbing, Vocal remover, AI voice enhancer, AI speech polish, and 4-stem separation round Source runtime up to whole minutes and consume 1 credit per 1 minute. An estimate is reserved when work starts, settled to actual usage on completion, and released automatically if the work fails or is cancelled.

Creating or deleting a voice profile does not consume credits. AI dubbing with your own voice uses the same one-credit-per-Source-minute rate as other AI dubbing.

Free credits have no cash value and are issued once per user as 60 credits when the first generation starts. Basic and monthly Pro credits are issued each billing cycle and do not roll over. Annual Pro issues 5,400 credits upfront at annual payment.

Separately purchased credit packs are valid for 365 days from the date granted.

Credits are not redeemable for cash and may not be transferred. Refunds are governed by Section 7.

6. Paid plans and payment

All prices and charges are denominated in USD. Tax is included or added according to the customer location shown at Polar Checkout.

Credit packs may be purchased only by users on a paid plan (Basic or Pro).

Monthly subscriptions renew each month and Pro annual renews each year on the billing date. You may cancel before the next billing date and retain access for the remainder of the paid period.

Payments are processed by Polar Software Inc. The Company does not store your card or other payment instrument details.

Where a minor pays without the consent of their legal representative, the minor or that representative may cancel the payment, except where the minor paid from property their representative permitted them to dispose of, or used deception to appear to be an adult.

Taxes on fees follow the tax law of the Republic of Korea. If you use the Service from outside Korea, you bear any taxes or charges of that country.

7. Withdrawal and refunds

You may withdraw your purchase within 7 days of payment. Under Article 17(2) of the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, withdrawal may be restricted for digital content already supplied.

• No credits used: full refund if requested within 7 days
• Some credits used: refund of the amount paid less the value of paid credits used, with the deduction rounded up to one cent
• All credits used: no refund
• More than 7 days after payment: no refund for the elapsed period; cancellation stops billing from the next cycle

Basic monthly and Pro monthly use the USD amount actually paid divided by credits granted. Pro annual uses USD 20 divided by 450 credits, not the discounted annual unit rate. Credit packs use the USD amount actually paid divided by credits granted. Every deduction is rounded up to one cent.

When a refund succeeds, unused paid credits granted by that payment are revoked and subscription benefits may end immediately. Free, administrative compensation, and promotional credits are not refundable for cash.

Where the Service was unavailable due to the Company’s fault, the corresponding amount is refunded regardless of the above.

8. Your obligations

You must not:

• Upload or import material that infringes copyright, likeness rights, trademarks, or other rights
• Process content prohibited by law, including child sexual abuse material and unlawfully recorded material
• Synthesise another person’s face or voice without consent so as to depict them saying or doing something they did not
• Impersonate another person or use another person’s account
• Spread false information, or mass-generate output for spam or advertising
• Place excessive load on the Service or harvest data by automated means
• Reverse engineer the Service or attempt unauthorised system access
• Resell output obtained through the Service, or provide a competing service, without the Company’s prior consent

The Company may restrict use after notice if you breach these obligations, or immediately with notice afterwards where the breach is clearly unlawful or urgent.

9. Content rights and responsibility

You retain all rights in the Sources you provide and the Clips generated from them. The Company claims no ownership.

The Company processes your content only as needed to provide the Service (storage, encoding, AI analysis, delivery to you). The Company does not use your content to train AI models and does not provide or sell it to third parties.

You must hold the rights to any Source you process. Link import begins only after you confirm you hold those rights, and you are responsible for disputes and damages arising from infringement.

10. Infringement reports

A person claiming that their copyright or other rights have been infringed (a "Claimant") may request suspension of the reproduction and transmission of the content, supported by evidence. Send reports to the address below with:

• The Claimant’s name and contact details
• Identification of the work said to be infringed
• The location of the content whose suspension is requested
• Evidence that the Claimant holds the rights and that the report is accurate

On receiving a report that meets these requirements, the Company suspends reproduction and transmission without delay and notifies both the Claimant and the User concerned.

A notified User may request resumption by showing they hold the necessary rights. The Company then notifies the Claimant of the scheduled resumption date and resumes on that date, unless the Claimant confirms before that date that they have filed suit.

The Company may suspend or terminate the account of a User who repeatedly infringes the rights of others without justification.

11. Data retention and deletion

Projects and their Sources and Clips are deleted when your plan’s retention period expires: Free 3 days, Basic 30 days, Pro 90 days. Expiry and scheduled deletion dates are shown on the project screen.

A project you delete yourself disappears from your project list immediately and cannot be restored.

You may request account deletion. A 30-day grace period applies, during which you can cancel the request yourself. After it passes, account and workspace data are destroyed and cannot be recovered.

Deleted data cannot be recovered. Download anything you need to keep before it expires.

12. Changes to and suspension of the Service

The Company may change or discontinue the Service. Where a change to a paid service is unfavourable to Users, or the Service is discontinued, the Company gives 30 days’ notice and refunds amounts corresponding to the unused period and unused credits.

The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, network failure, or force majeure. Notice is given in advance, or promptly afterwards where advance notice is not possible.

13. Termination

You may terminate at any time by requesting account deletion on the Account screen. Deletion and destruction follow Section 11.

Where you breach Section 9, the Company will request that you remedy the breach and may terminate if it is not remedied within a reasonable period. Where the breach is clearly unlawful the Company may terminate immediately.

If the Company terminates, it notifies you of the grounds and the time of termination. You may object within 14 days of that notice, and if the objection is well founded the Company restores access immediately.

Where termination by the Company prevents you from using a paid service and you are not at fault, the Company refunds amounts corresponding to the remaining period and unused credits.

14. Limitation of liability

The Company is not liable for damage arising from force majeure, your own fault, or the unlawful acts of third parties beyond the Company’s control.

The Company does not warrant the accuracy of AI output or any result you obtain from it.

The Company’s aggregate liability is limited to the total fees you paid to the Company in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the damage.

The preceding two paragraphs do not apply to damage caused by the Company’s intent or gross negligence, or to liability the Company cannot exclude by law. This section does not unfairly restrict your rights under the Korean Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions.

15. Assignment

You may not assign your position or rights under this agreement, or offer them as security.

If the Company transfers its position under this agreement through a business transfer, merger, or similar event, it announces the fact and the transferee 30 days in advance. You may terminate within that period, in which case the Company refunds amounts corresponding to the remaining period and unused credits.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Disputes are resolved in good faith between the Company and the User; failing that, either party may bring proceedings before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

You may also apply to the Korea Consumer Agency or the Electronic Commerce Mediation Committee for mediation.
